Customer Requirement:
- The AGROFLOR Amphibian and Toad Protection Fence was developed as a conservation measure for toads, frogs, lizards, and amphibians, as well as small game.
- The goal was to create a fabric that is maximally opaque, as amphibians only continue migrating in complete opacity. Otherwise, they would stop and wait in front of the fence.
- Our product provides protection during amphibian migration on their way to spawning waters or ponds, making crossing heavily trafficked roads safer.
Our Solution:
- Our AGROFLOR Article 622 was further developed as an amphibian and toad protection fence.
- Due to the unilaterally knitted buttonhole strip, threading the tensioning wire for easy attachment of the posts is possible.
- By assembling a "wing" on both sides of the fence, which serves as an overpass protection, it is ensured that amphibians, toads, and small game cannot easily pass over the fence and enter the roadway.
- This encourages them to move in a different direction. Thanks to the collection containers, which are buried flush with the ground at regular intervals of max. 20 m along the protective fence, the amphibians are safely caught. During the migration period, these containers are checked daily, and the animals are released on the other side of the road.
